Does Anyone Wear Cuff Links Anymore?

A sampling of my cuff link collection. Dressed up doesn’t need to be stuffy, right?!

Well, I do! Not generally to be fancy, but for fun. They’re kinda “old school” and that appeals to me, but cuff links can be silly, nerdy, fancy, or funny – something for everybody! Plenty of my couples have described themselves as “quirky” and maybe cuff links are one of my quirks.

Only a few of my dozens of pairs of cuff links cost more than a couple dollars. And if a $2 pair of cuff links brings a grin to the face of a nervous groom, that’s money well spent for sure.

As you can see in the photo above, most of mine are super hero or comic book themed. The four on the left I made myself from glass and gemstones. One of my favorites is the tiny working “moment glass” which contains just enough sand to mark a moment as it runs from the top to the bottom. The message of enjoying every moment makes lots of sense on a wedding day, so if a particular super hero doesn’t seem relevant to the couple, I’ll often grab a pair of my “moment glasses” for the big day.

But maybe the cuff links I wear most often to a wedding are a throwback to the 1960’s TV series with Adam West and Burt Ward. I can almost hear Robin exclaiming “Holy Matrimony, Batman!”
